Major Home Renovation in Needham, MA

Featured Home – Needham, MA

The homeowners found a classic New England colonial style home they loved in this suburb of Greater Boston. However, they wanted to make it their own dream home with a major renovation, which involved major reworking of the original floor plans on both the main floor and second floor.

Kitchen

Kitchen Views worked with the homeowners and their contractor as they reconstructed the first floor with a welcoming entrance area leading to the completely new kitchen layout with views of the lovely backyard. A wide opening between the mudroom and the kitchen makes it easy to see who is coming and going.

Traditional wood tone cabinetry and dark flooring was replaced with stylish white cabinetry and light hardwood floors. A pre-existing skylight above the island provides natural lighting during the day and recessed lighting is available when needed.

Vanities

On the second floor, both the family bathroom and the main bathroom have beautiful double vanities.

Cabinetry for Every Room

The new first floor layout flows beautifully from the front entrance with beautiful herringbone tile floor and so much cabinetry for containing clutter that it doesn't feel like a typical mudroom.

The family room next to the kitchen has a wet bar for entertaining, storage for glasses and other with a wine rack and easy access to cold beverages in an undercounter beverage refrigerator.

On the second floor, the laundry room has lots more cabinetry for storage plus a countertop for folding clothes and a small sink. The black and white flower patterned tile floor is both stylish and timeless.
