John has a wide range of interests. He is a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in literature and writing and an associate degree in arranging from Berklee College of Music, he has worked as an English Teacher, Staff Engineer, Energy Manager, and Project Manager.
John's thoughts:
If I think of one person who I most admire in all the years I have spent working, it must be Henry, a carpenter I spent several days shadowing in the mid 1990’s when I was working at a high-end kitchen design and build firm in Manhattan. His focus on craftsmanship, on doing the job right; he was the best I have ever seen. Henry was fast, precise, perfect, detail-oriented, and surprisingly irreverent. He is someone I have tried to emulate across all these years.
