The Setting
In addition to requesting a bright and charming space, this lovely homeowner had a vision that included a cozy lounge area, which we were able to create by introducing a welcoming corner window seat that provided additional storage and lounging for guests or relaxing time with a good book. The wrap around stools at the island enabled the couple to have family-style seating that became beneficial for both mealtime and learning time with their growing family and plenty of counterspace for them to engage with preparing meals together.

The Challenge
The biggest challenge was not knowing the size of the support header to design around due to addition not being built yet during the time of the design process. I was very pleased once I was informed that the header would be completely concealed in the ceiling.
